More milestones

The puppies will be 5 weeks old on Tuesday. I have moved them from the quiet of my office to the kitchen and finally on into the dining room where they have plenty of room, a view of the outside, more commotion all around them and easy access to the outside when the weather gets a bit warmer. They have moved from puppy "goop" to a more mature diet. Here they are enjoying a dinner of chicken necks:

Next week, I have scheduled the Volhard's Puppy Aptitude test and the following week, structural analysis and temperament testing. Then, I will gather all of my notes and applications and start matching puppies. It should be an exciting week!

A few more pictures

Puppies enjoying their first taste of solid food. Tullia immediately staked her claim.. "Mine.. all mine"

Chow Time! Now that Tullia has freed up some space, the others come to check it out!

Left to right, Sierra, Oran, Tullia and Rogan

Four weeks old tomorrow and the first one with his ears up. Good Job Rogan! Tullia in the foreground.

Funny, we used to all fit! Inna declares "open bar" while the puppies all try to find a spot.

Somehow or other they all figure it out and settle down.. Mom seems satisfied with this morning's adventure!

Tala meets the puppies

Hello! Well of all of the times to schedule some remodeling, this was probably not ideal, but rarely can we plan things perfectly. So, I am getting my stairs redone and last night we all hunkered down in the family room. Puppies were brought down for the night and even the big kids had to find a comfortable spot to spend the night.

Tala, whom I kept from my first litter, got a chance to meet her siblings from litter #2. By the end of the evening, everyone was pretty tuckered out.. you can see pictures here. Hard to believe that just 6 months ago, Tala was the same size as these little ones. After much exploring, and tons of blurry pictures everyone finally settled in for the night. Tonight.... my stairs are back in operation so everyone gets to sleep in their own bed... including me! :)

A Belly Full of Puppies!

That is what the vet said after looking at the x-ray of Inna's belly today! The puppies are all nicely sized and counting skulls and spines we definitely see seven, and maybe a pup up under the ribs. So, she will keep us guessing for another week. Due date is March 4th.
